I believe in creating spaces that reflect ones personal character, beliefs, habits and lifestyle. Clean, simple, unique and graceful are the building blocks of my creative aesthetic foundation. The clean lines, simplicity and use of natural materials found in Scandinavian design, remind me to keep things neat and pure. The handcrafted features of Wabi Sabi, remind me that we are unique and perfectly imperfect. Arched doorways and ornately hand-carved wood work features found in Moroccan design are perfect reminders of the grace, elegance and flow of life.Creating spaces that allow one to ebb, flow and grow with ease and grace is my goal.

The Modern Nest

Seeking a modern upgrade for the main floor of this family home. new hardwood was installed throughout the floor plan. The kitchen was upgraded with a new layout, new cabinetry and increased storage as per clients request. clean ,simple white cabinetry, exposed wooden shelves and marble countertop with subtle vein- makeup our new fresh kitchen look. A floor to ceiling pantry was added to include extra storage space for dry storage, pots, pans and cleaning supplies.

The Growing Family

With a preference for family-oriented occasions, I decided to create a space that is inclusive, with options for privacy and separate areas of enjoyment. The formal dining space was removed and a large, extendable table was added to the kitchen space. The W/C was converted into a small laundry room with stackable washer/dryer, sink and storage space for cleaning supplies. The decision to add a spare bedroom option and additional living space came from considering the family dynamic. With 2 growing children, I felt options to have separate spaces for entertaining friends were key. These rooms are ideal for sleepovers and/or friendly visits. While providing multiple options for inclusive family hang-outs, it also offers the option of having an array of activities happening at the same time, while allowing for privacy.

The Olive Grove

I tell the story of a Mediterranean Olive Grove.. Inspired by how the leaves change colour during different seasons and time of day. I wanted to capture the silent power of nature and invite it to flow throughout the space. I have envisioned a Mediterranean and Wabi Sabi design to tell this tale As a family home., I wanted to call upon the powerful qualities associated with the colour green, like stability, security and emotional balance.
